The third film produced by Tamil actor Simbu and Telugu filmmaker Gautham Menon, "Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu," is titled "The Life of Muthu." The Telugu version is being presented under the Sri Sravanthi Movies brand, and a trailer has been released.
The protagonist's life is the focus of the teaser. Simbu is visible performing odd tasks to support his family. He has a strong bond with his sister, which is shown in the images, and Radhika plays his mother. Simbu is fighting the thugs when the scene is cut to him carrying a gun.
Simbu eventually becomes a gangster, and the change is emotional. Because it was shot a year ago, Simbu appears quite trim, yet his performance has a fresh dimension that is compelling. In the film, Siddhi Idnani plays Simbu's love interest.
The teaser is entirely set to a song by AR Rahman, and it has a mood that leans toward melancholy. The first instalment of director Gautham's multi-part "The Life of Muthu" project is titled "The Kindling." The big premiere of the movie is scheduled for September 15.
